As chair of the Safety, Health and Environment Committee, it was a proud and exciting time at Convention 2006. The Committee was responsible for the guest appearance of Guy Lafleur, spokesperson for Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation. For the first time in Canada, a three-way partnership on rechargeable battery recycling was made by RBRC, MGEU and the Government of Manitoba. Rechargeable battery recycling boxes can be found at all MGEU offices.
